About the team :

 

As a part of Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T), we are responsible to deliver accurate and timely financials for P&C Americas Reinsurance entities and manage statutory capital requirements for the legal entity. The Team is constantly developing and strengthening capabilities to provide insightful and meaningful reporting to our decision makers. You will join a highly motivated and dynamic team within an interesting and complex environment and will get the opportunity to build up and further enhance reporting, consolidation & analytical capabilities. The position will report directly to the Team Lead, Americas GFO&T based out in Bengaluru.

 

About the Role: Position Summary and Main tasks/activities

  • Production and analysis of high quality, well explained quarterly and annual financial results on US Statutory basis
  • Ensure strong execution and adherence of the financial reporting control environment
  • Willingness to challenge status quo processes and desire to implement process improvements
  • Ready to take on additional responsibilities as well as ad-hoc requests from internal clients
  • Actively engage with all relevant partners, internally and externally
  • Quickly familiarize and adapt with new and changing technologies and systems
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
    • Ensuring successful and timely completion of monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables
    • Develop deeper understanding of NAIC quarterly and annual statement filings and P&C Risk Based Capital (RBC) framework
    • Involvement in preparing the entity's plan & projected financial statement; and Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) modeling
    • Preparation of certain internal client/external regulatory/audit deliverables
    • Performing critical self-review of monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables
    • Focus on teamwork – taking on additional duties during peak times

About you:

Additional requirements:

 

  • Should be University postgraduate in Finance/Accounting; CA/CPA/ACCA will be preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting, financial reporting, auditing or financial analysis
  • Knowledge of Financial Services is necessary, with a preference to insurance/reinsurance business understanding
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with firsthand experience in handling large data
  • Proficient in MS office tools including advanced skills in MS excel, and Power Point; Hands on experience in automation tools like Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Python, etc. will be an added advantage
