Requirements Engineer III
About the Role
In this pivotal position, you'll be at the heart of developing and maintaining our sophisticated in-house commercial insurance products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape functionality that generates real business impact, serving as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, including business architecture, process maps, wireframes, and data models
- Ensure comprehensive specification of User Stories with all required data and background analysis available to the entire team
- Design and define related test cases while supporting Product Owners in creating effective acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including Platform Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, and the Data Office on system, process, and information architecture
- Analyze customer needs to proactively identify and develop solutions to address their challenges
- Organize and maintain the Product Backlog based on Product Owner prioritization
- Provide production support for business applications, addressing user requests and triaging complex issues to development teams
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on the corporate Wiki

About You
You're a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and a passion for translating complex business needs into clear technical requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach enable you to anticipate needs and deliver exceptional solutions.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or in similar roles
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional product teams
- Proficiency in tools like Jira or similar Agile management platforms like Azure DevOps
- Proficient in Visio or other process mapping tools, with good knowledge of BPMN
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with Commercial Insurance products and processes
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools
- Experience with requirements traceability and management
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
- Background in software development or testing
