Senior Actuarial Analyst

objective of Role

 

To support Life & Health Pricing Office Asia in regional projects and initiatives; as well as providing support for other teams around the Asia region.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Provide support in regional tasks, initiatives and projects related to monitoring aspects such as Terms of Trade, Approver Authority Levels and relevant systems;
  • Steering and Reporting activities for Asia region;
  • Pricing of CAT XL treaties on need basis;
  • Regular monitoring of capacity usage for mortality and critical illness treaties;
  • Managing pricing induction program for new costing actuaries;
  • Develop/customize models to support pricing activities in the Asia region;
  • Support the Pricing Office Asia or Market teams on any projects as required;
  • Conduct research/investigation on insurance-related topics or costing basis;

  • Ability and initiative to challenge and suggest improvement(s) to existing processes.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or related majors.
  • Good actuarial exam progress of a recognized actuarial professional body.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience in actuarial functions (ex: pricing, valuation) and actuarial tools for 3 – 5 years.
  • Familiarity with R/Python or any other coding language (good to have).
