Senior Analyst Corporate Actuarial P&C

About the Role

 

  • Quarterly reserves analysis for Americas P&C business. Work on end-to-end reserving for designated lines of business and gain insights into the underlying business and markets.
  • Reporting of quarterly results to senior management and the Reserve Committee
  • Estimation of payment patterns
  • Preparation of materials in respect of statutory reporting requirements (e.g. Schedule P analysis) for different legal entities of Swiss Re
  • Support various ongoing and ad-hoc initiatives such as improvements to existing tools and processes, portfolio costing deep dives and pricing feedback.

 

About the Team

 

The Actuarial Reserving P&C Re team for Americas is part of the Global Actuarial Reserving P&C Re Unit which is responsible for reserving, commutation pricing, statutory reporting, IFRS17 reporting/implementation and data analytics for actuarial analysis.
 

About You

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics or equivalent field
  • 4+ years of experience in the P&C actuarial domain
  • Sound mathematical and actuarial background, actively working towards the attainment of an actuarial qualification
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and deliver within timelines
  • Strong data organization and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance accounting principles
  • Experience in any programming language (VBA, R, Python) and visualization tools (like PowerBI, Tableau) is an advantage.
