Senior Analyst Corporate Actuarial P&C

About the Role:

 

  • Bridging knowledge gaps and upskilling Regional Actuaries on IFRS 17.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with Regional Actuaries and Finance for IFRS 17 implementation.
  • Assisting in the formulation and management of implementation plans.
  • Ensuring precise and timely completion of implementation tasks within the plan.
  • Actively liaising with the core policy team to resolve policy questions and address local implementation issues.
  • Supporting actuarial planning at both Legal Entity and Regional levels.
  • Providing training and support for systems and calculation engines where local actuaries are completing tasks.
  • Assisting Regional Actuaries and Finance with ad-hoc queries and requests.
  • Helping local entities with regulatory requests, such as quantitative impact studies.
  • Preparing written documentation and presentations on the results of technical analysis.
  • Supporting the documentation of current processes and new IFRS requirements.

 

About the Team:

 

The IFRS17 Actuarial Implementation team is part of the Actuarial Reserving P&C BLR hub and falls under the Global Actuarial P&C Re function. It leads the IFRS17 implementation across Swiss Re for P&C Re.

 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience in the P&C actuarial domain.
  • Actively pursuing an actuarial qualification.
  • Experience in statutory reporting for P&C branch entities.
  • Practical experience in insurance accounting (USG, IFRS4, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, with attention to detail and timely delivery.
  • Strong skills in data organization, analysis, modeling, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong desire to learn new concepts.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and results clearly and in detail.
