Senior Change Manager

Senior Change Manager

Lead transformation. Inspire adoption. Shape the future of technology delivery.

Are you a seasoned change leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution? Do you have a passion for guiding organisations through complex, large-scale transformation? If so, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading reinsurance companies — right from the heart of Bangalore.

About the Role

As a Senior Change Manager within GDTO (Global Digital & Technology Office) at Swiss Re, you will be at the forefront of driving successful adoption of strategic technology and transformation initiatives across a truly global organisation. This is not a back-office role — it is a high-visibility, high-impact position that demands both strategic thinking and sleeves-rolled-up delivery.

You will partner with GDTO leadership, programme teams, and key stakeholders to ensure that people are genuinely supported through change — not just informed about it. Your work will directly contribute to building a robust, efficient, and future-ready GDTO function that delivers lasting value to Swiss Re's business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive change management strategies that are tightly aligned to GDTO's strategic objectives and transformation roadmap

  • Provide leadership and expert guidance to programme and project teams across the full change lifecycle — from initiation through to embedding in business-as-usual

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive genuine commitment, advocacy, and sponsorship for change initiatives

  • Collaborate with communications teams to craft and deliver targeted, effective change campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences

  • Develop robust change artefacts including impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, risk mitigation plans, and communication strategies

  • Lead training and capability-building initiatives that equip employees with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in new ways of working

  • Monitor and evaluate change effectiveness, using data and feedback to continuously refine and improve approaches

  • Partner with HR and communications to support smooth transitions to future-state operating models

  • Champion continuous improvement of change management practices, tools, and frameworks across the GDTO portfolio

About the Team

You'll be joining the Portfolio & Delivery team within the Chief Operating Officer organisation of GDTO (Global Digital & Technology Office). Our team is responsible for ensuring effective oversight and delivery of projects and change across Swiss Re's technology portfolio — driving excellence in how we prioritise, manage, and deliver strategic technology and related capabilities across the organisation.

We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values transparency, continuous improvement, and a shared commitment to delivering outcomes that make a real difference to the business. You'll work alongside talented professionals who bring diverse perspectives and a genuine enthusiasm for making complex change land well. Whether you're shaping strategy or rolling up your sleeves on delivery, you'll find a team that supports you, challenges you, and celebrates success together.

About You

You are an engaging, energetic change leader who knows how to bring people on a journey. You communicate with clarity and empathy, translating complex transformation narratives into messages that resonate at every level of the organisation. You are equally comfortable presenting to a C-suite audience as you are facilitating a workshop with frontline teams. You thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and hold yourself and others accountable for outcomes — not just activities. You bring a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset and a genuine belief that well-managed change makes organisations stronger.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering change management strategies for large-scale technology delivery and transformation programmes in complex, global organisations

  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile and traditional change frameworks, including Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent methodologies, with the ability to flex approaches to context

  • Strong ability to develop high-quality change artefacts — including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, communication materials, and training programmes — that drive real adoption

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience leading enterprise or organisational-scale people transformation initiatives, particularly within technology or digital functions

  • Exposure to behavioural science principles and their practical application in change and adoption strategies

  • Financial services or reinsurance industry experience, bringing an understanding of the regulatory and operational context

  • Change management certification such as Prosci, Lean Change, or equivalent professional qualification

  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

  • Comfort operating in global, multi-cultural environments, with the ability to build trust and influence across geographies and time zones

  • Strong project management, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
