Senior Consultant P&C Reinsurance
About the Role
As a Senior Consultant in Business Transformation, you will play a key role in shaping how our global P&C Reinsurance business evolves. You will lead and deliver high-impact transformation initiatives end-to-end - from strategy through to execution - spanning operating models, processes, technology, and ways of working. You will support or be the key driver of global projects, while also acting as key linking pin to the needs of our Asia-Pacific offices in those. Your focus will be on turning strategic ambition into tangible change, with clear outcomes that stick in the organisation, not just on paper.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic translation: Break down complex business challenges into clear problem statements and actionable solution approaches
- Initiative leadership: Lead and support high-priority transformation initiatives across the P&C Re organization, addressing strategic, operational, and organizational challenges, ensuring robust governance and driving measurable outcomes
- Decision support: Work closely with business leaders, functional experts, and cross-functional teams to align on priorities, options, and execution approaches. Develop robust analyses and decision materials to support leadership discussions
- Transformation Design and Delivery: Conceptualize and lead transformation initiatives across the full lifecycle, from problem definition and current-state assessment through solution design, implementation planning, and value realization.
- Process and solution design: Contribute to process improvements, user journey definition, and process-to-system translation
- Change enablement: Support stakeholder engagement, communication, and change activities to drive practical adoption
- Global collaboration: Collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are workable and sustainable
This role offers exceptional visibility and exposure across the organization, providing opportunities to build a strong internal network, influence decisions at multiple levels, and deepen your reinsurance business understanding.
About the Team
Business Transformation is an integral part of P&C Reinsurance, dedicated to converting strategy into measurable change across the business unit. We improve end-to-end ways of working and ensure initiatives deliver meaningful outcomes.
We are an experienced and globally distributed team, working across the entire value chain. We support operating model and process redesign through implementation, with a strong focus on execution discipline and lasting adoption. Our mandate spans both large-scale strategic transformation and targeted continuous improvement.
About You
You thrive in complex environments where you can apply both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution skills. With excellent communication and active listening abilities, you influence and align senior stakeholders while navigating ambiguity with confidence. Your strong sense of ownership and pragmatic, “can‑do” mindset enable you to build consensus among diverse groups and deliver tangible results that drive business value. Combined with your ability to understand both business needs and technical possibilities, you serve as an effective bridge‑builder in transformation initiatives.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in management consulting or professional services delivery
- Proven track record of leading complex transformations end-to-end (scope, plan, stakeholders, risks, delivery), including cross-functional teams
- Strong grounding in project and change methodologies (e.g. Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Change Management, Process Engineering)
- Proven ability to bridge strategy and execution, including problem structuring, data analysis, process design, and development of decision-ready artefacts
- Analytical and financial acumen: comfortable with business cases, benefits tracking, and translating recommendations into measurable outcomes
- Ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative information into clear, compelling insights
- Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to move fluidly between enterprise-level strategy and detailed implementation planning.
- (Re)insurance expertise and/or value chain understanding in Underwriting, Claims or Operation (preferred) or alternatively substantial experience in supporting other financial services
These are additional nice to haves:
- Operating model design and implementation experience
- Project portfolio management exposure
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process excellence background
- Project, change or process management certifications: PROSCI, PMP/PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum/SAFe, or similar
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
