About the Role
As a Senior Digital Risk Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted partner to our Group Security & Technology Platforms unit, ensuring that digital and technology risks are properly identified, assessed, and controlled. You'll help cultivate a robust risk culture while enabling innovation and business growth through smart, effective risk management practices. This is a high-visibility role where your expertise will directly influence how Swiss Re navigates the evolving digital risk landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Lead risk assessments and control evaluations within the Group Security & Technology Platforms unit, ensuring comprehensive coverage of digital risk exposure

Implement digital risk frameworks as a trusted advisor, ensuring IT threats and risks are clearly understood across the organization

Design effective controls and embed them into operational procedures through close collaboration with technology teams

Drive automation of control processes and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen our overall risk posture

Build operational transparency through continuous monitoring and assessment of controls against our defined risk appetite

Coordinate audit activities and serve as the primary point of contact for Internal Audits, External Audits, and Compliance Risk Reviews

Provide expert guidance on digital risk and control activities within the Group Security & Technology Platforms unit

Promote risk awareness by staying current with evolving digital risk requirements and ensuring proper framework implementation across teams

Foster innovation in risk management approaches and methodologies, bringing fresh thinking to how we manage and respond to digital risk

About You
You are a strategic thinker with a genuine passion for risk management and a collaborative, inclusive approach to problem-solving. You understand both the technical and business dimensions of digital risk and can communicate with clarity and confidence across all levels of the organization — from senior leadership to IT engineers. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by continuous improvement. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring both rigor and creativity to the challenges of modern digital risk governance.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Proven track record in IT risk and control-related roles such as IT Governance, IT Audit, or Digital Risk Management, with demonstrated ability to deliver results

Strong knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks including COBIT, ISO 31000, COSO ERM, and/or NIST, and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a complex organization

Industry experience in insurance, reinsurance, or banking, with a solid understanding of modern technology solutions and their associated risk profiles

Fluency in spoken and written English, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels

Professional qualifications such as CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, or equivalent certifications

Experience with control automation and continuous monitoring techniques

Background in application development or security engineering

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative networks across IT domains

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
