About the Role
As Senior Manager, Employee Communications APAC based in Bangalore, you'll lead the development and execution of strategic communications that bring our company's vision to life. You'll be the pulse-checker of employee sentiment, translating insights into impactful engagement initiatives that resonate across diverse cultures and drive our cultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive employee communications that elevate awareness and understanding of Group/Regional strategy and engage all colleagues across Swiss Re India
- Insight Generation: Scan internal and external environments to understand employee mood, attitudes, and trends to inform engagement approaches
- Narrative Development: Craft compelling, business-driven local narratives that resonate with employees across APAC
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to support leadership communications that foster staff engagement aligned with business priorities
- Platform Management: Oversee communication platforms and foster two-way dialogue to engage all APAC employees in meaningful discussions
- Message Consistency: Develop key messages and ensure consistency across all communications.
- External comms support: In collaboration with Swiss Re's APAC External Communications team, guide and manage PR agencies covering the India market and provide on-ground support for key external communications (e.g. media activities)
- Budget Management: Oversee budget for communication projects and report on results.
- Performance Measurement: Track and analyze KPIs to measure communication effectiveness.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and have a talent for building relationships at all levels of an organization. Your creative thinking and analytical mindset allow you to develop innovative solutions while measuring their impact effectively.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- A University degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
- 10-12 years of professional-level experience in communications
- Experience working in India, preferably with a multinational corporation
- Strong storytelling and writing skills with excellent oral and written command of English
- Exposure to Asia regional/global integrated communication campaigns
- Experience working with diverse cultures and understanding cross-cultural nuances
These are additional nice to haves:
- Practice in Global Services Offices, financial services or B2B environments
- Proven skills in deploying social and digital media strategies
- Local knowledge of key agencies, groups and associations in India
- Experience consulting with executive management
- Ability to grasp complex processes and projects quickly
- A healthy attention to detail and persistence in pursuing new ideas
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
