Senior Financial Analyst, Performance Reporting and Analysis, APAC

Your main accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manage business production projection to ensure a timely and accurate quarterly closing process for Asia Pacific - i.e., you lead timelines, discussions, and responsibilities in coordination with global teams and with business unit's deliverables

• Ensure consistent business performance reporting and results analysis for the region, in close collaboration with Finance teams globally. Enable timely understanding of our underlying business performance for the regional executive leadership and sub-regions

• Show operational excellence and engage in the continuous improvement on our underlying data quality and our comprehensive FP&A reporting framework. Develop and enable consistent business performance management for the region.

• Support Underwriters, Products and Sales teams by providing proactive, informative analysis of key performance drivers, expenses, and allocations

• IFRS accounting and KPI framework and support the knowledge transfer to our regional colleagues

• Provide customized / ad-hoc reporting and analysis by closely collaborating with our Finance colleagues in the region and globally

About the team

The Asia Pacific Finance team supports managing and steering Swiss Re's commercial lines primary insurer, the business unit Corporate Solutions, in the region. Your multifaceted and curious manner supports the Head FP&A Asia Pacific to further improve and accurately perform financial analysis and to effectively act as a challenger to our decision makers. With growing responsibility, you will be able to collaborate and partner intensively across our Underwriting, Sales teams and Operations as well as our larger Finance Corporate Solutions community globally.

About You

• University graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher in finance/accounting/economics with CFA/CA/CPA or similar professional qualification

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial services, planning & analysis or management reporting/controlling

• Strong analytical skills and technical savvy with the capability to communicate complexity in a clear and concise fashion to a non-expert audience

• Prior knowledge of IFRS 17 is an advantage

• Excellent oral and written English

• Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of autonomy but working closely with relevant partners

• Demonstrate a natural sense of curiosity and show personal accountability for area of responsibility

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as a team

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
