Senior IT Business Analyst

About the role

  • You will collaborate with the business to implement new analytical capabilities in the IT systems. A key requirement is to produce and maintain good documentation to capture requirements, report progress, and provide explanations of how the systems work.
  • You will communicate findings to both business and IT stakeholders and colleagues and, where appropriate, present completed staff work to senior management.
  • You will help to train and develop other team members. You will document processes done for release and deployments so that this work can be repeated by others in the team.
  • You will manage the release and deployment process, coordinating tasks for team members and ensuring a smooth rollout of production applications and systems.
  • A key responsibility of the Core team is to provide operational support for the end to end platforms. This includes ensuring timely running of feeds and batch processes of many automated process steps.
  • Conducting business analysis in this area, you will be able to capture financial system requirements and engineer them into solutions, while ensuring good alignment with business requestors and technical implementation teams.
  • With the developer part of this role, you will be exposed to several technologies for developing systems and you will generally work with an agile methodology.

 

About Team

This is a role in Risk Management IT, which is a partner function for the Group Risk Management business area.

The systems and expertise provided by the Financial Risk Management IT (FRM IT) function enables Group Risk Management business to have oversight and control of the firm's risks and allows it to support the risk taking activities of various other business functions.

The Core team is at the center of the FRM IT team activity, procuring data, building feeds, and integrating and transforming data in warehouses and Datamarts.

 

About you

  • Experience of business analysis and requirements engineering (2 years or more).
  • Tabular modeling and DAX programming (beginner awareness)
  • SQL - with focus on data transformations using SQL views and stored procedure
  • Advanced use of .Net languages: C#, VB, VBA (2 years or more experience)
  • Exposure to web based technologies, HTML/JavaScript, D3
  • Knowledge of MSBI PowerBI, Tableau or both
  • Hands on experience with MSBI PowerBI, Tableau or both (1 year or more)
  • Data integration and transformation
  • Transformation and batch tools such as PowerCenter and UC4
