About the Role
As Senior Manager of Learning Design, you'll be the driving force behind our learning innovation strategy, leading a global team of instructional designers to create exceptional learning experiences. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to design solutions that strengthen our capabilities and directly support our strategic learning agenda.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing global learning design team, driving engagement and professional growth aligned with our Culture Forces

Build trusted partnerships with Academy leaders and stakeholders to ensure learning solutions directly support business goals and capability needs

Shape learning strategy by developing flexible, scalable, and learner-centric approaches that meet the unique needs of our global organization

Drive innovation by exploring new design methods, tools, and technologies that keep Swiss Re at the forefront of learning excellence

Implement agile methodologies to respond effectively to changing business requirements and priorities

Leverage data and insights to measure learning effectiveness and ensure solutions achieve intended business impact

Champion continuous learning by staying current with trends in learning science, instructional design, and digital learning

About You
You're a forward-thinking learning professional who combines strategic vision with practical execution. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about developing people and creating meaningful learning experiences. Your approach balances innovation with business pragmatism, and you're skilled at leading teams through change while maintaining focus on measurable outcomes.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with deep expertise in instructional design for learning, leadership, and talent programs

Proven experience leading teams, demonstrating a global mindset and strong cultural intelligence

Advanced proficiency with eLearning tools such as Captivate, Articulate 360, Vyond, and Synthesia

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the 70/20/10 model
-
Experience with Learning Experience Platforms (ideally 360Learning)
These are additional nice to haves:

Accreditation with key assessment instruments including MBTI, Hogan, TMP, DISC, etc.

Instructional design certification

Deep sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and regional learning needs

Experience implementing learning analytics and measuring learning effectiveness

Knowledge of emerging technologies in the learning space (AR/VR, AI-driven learning, etc.)
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
