Senior System Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior System Engineer to join our team in the Life and Health Reinsurance unit. This role will be instrumental in integrating third-party actuarial software solutions into the Swiss Re valuation landscape, building and maintaining environments, and providing client support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Third-Party Integration:
    • Lead the integration efforts of third-party software solutions into the Swiss Re valuation landscape.
    • Contribute to technical research and feasibility studies of proposed tooling and software upgrades.
    • Collaborate with other project teams and clients to understand their requirements and ensure tailored integrations that meet their specific needs.
    • Design and build interfaces across cloud providers.
  2. Environment Building and automation:
    • Design and build robust environments for valuation processes using scripting languages and Azure DevOps.
    • Work closely with project teams and clients to customize environments, ensuring alignment with their technical and business objectives.
  3. Client Interaction and Support:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for users in Bangalore and Asia region in general, fostering strong relationships and understanding their technical needs.
    • Provide proactive support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, ensuring a positive and responsive experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in third-party software integration, system architecture design, client interaction, access management, and SQL Server databases.
  • Proficient in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Basic understanding of firewalls and networking principles in private and public clouds.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and related tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
