Senior UW Governance Manager

About the Role
As Senior UW Governance Manager, you will be part of a team of experienced Underwriting professionals covering global Underwriting relevant topics from a governance and process perspective.
In this role, you will be the point of contact for our business partners with regards to all CorSo overarching UW Governance related topics. You will work closely with our business partners across the UW process value chain to continuously improve the safeguarding of our UW activities. In particular, you will:
- Develop, maintain and improve CorSo wide UW Standards in close collaboration with representatives from the relevant Line of Businesses
- Develop, maintain and improve UW Governance Frameworks
- Develop, maintain and improve UW Standards / UW process adherence monitoring frameworks and execute reviews
- Provide training on UW Standards, UW Governance Frameworks and UW Governance tools/databases
- Act as subject matter expert for dedicated UW Governance topics across all Lines of Business
- Contribute to UW process improvements
- Represent CorSo UW in initiatives/projects
- Define changes to UW Governance related tool infrastructure and databases
- Work closely with the Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management functions across CorSo to exchange insights and relevant data
About the Team
The UW Governance Team is part of the Global Underwriting Centre (GUWC) within Swiss Re CorSo. The GUWC consists of 30+ people based in multiple locations at the heart of Underwriting in CorSo, reporting to the CUO. The UW Governance Team is responsible for all CorSo overarching UW Governance topics, key UW Governance tools as well as for monitoring adherence to UW processes and UW Standards.
About You
We are looking for someone with an Underwriting background who is passionate about protecting our UW business across all lines of business and can engage in challenging conversations with stakeholders. To be successful, you need to have strong communication and partnering skills. In particular, we would like you to:
- have at least 7 years' experience in the (re)insurance industry
- have worked as a Non-Life (Re-)Insurance Underwriter in the corporate sector for an international (Re-)Insurance company
- have experience in Risk Management, Compliance and Legal related topics
- demonstrate excellent stakeholder management – understanding your business partners' needs, constructively challenging status quo and striving for collaborative solutions
- be a strong communicator – speaking clearly / simply even when dealing with complex topics
- have experience in leading or contributing to complex global projects and change initiatives
- have a flair for numbers and new technologies
- have excellent Microsoft Excel and Power Point Skills
- are able to deal resiliently with ambiguity and many diverse topics
- ideally, have experience in International Programs
