About the role:

 

In your role, you will…

  • Be a senior member of the Digital Risk Control – Business Units team, contributing as trusted digital risk partner to the implementation and adherence of our digital risk controls framework in India, Japan and South Korea
  • Provide oversight on regional digital and technology regulatory requirements and input on global controls and compliance strategy
  • Act as the cybersecurity compliance point of contact for Swiss Re carriers and third parties in India, Japan and South Korea
  • Identify potential areas of non-compliance with IT and cybersecurity regulations and lead resolution efforts in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts
  • Use your knowledge of the IT landscape relevant to local businesses to advise on the applicability of digital standards and controls
  • Ensure IT threats and risks are understood, issues are handled timely, and IT controls are designed and operating effectively
  • Coordinate IT and cybersecurity local external audits
  • Understand and report cybersecurity regulatory requirements coming from relevant laws and regulations across India, Japan, and South Korea jurisdictions
  • Ensure that regulations and Swiss Re IT and security standards are understood and enforced in India, Japan and South Korea to meet our risk appetite and drive corrective actions where needed
  • Embed controls into operational procedures by collaborating with our digital & technology teams to automate, measure performance, and continuously improve our risk position in line with local requirements
  • Build operational transparency with continuous control monitoring and assessment
  • Support the digital & technology leaders in local regulatory cybersecurity affairs
  • Represent the digital risk agenda in the regional stakeholder meetings

About the team:

The CSO is the focal point for all security and digital risk activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, corporate security, risk governance, operational resilience, and compliance.

 

As Senior Digital Risk Officer, you will be a member of the Digital Risk Control – Business Units team within the Digital Risk Governance & Control function. The function defines and delivers the company's digital risk governance & control strategy, ensuring risks are defined, controls established, and operating effectively to address operational risk and compliance needs. The team drives continuous improvement of the digital risk control framework for the IT domains in Swiss Re. We're looking for a highly motivated expert who is passionate about driving our organisation's risk culture.

 

About you:

  • A track record of successful delivery in digital risk governance and control, IT audit, or operational risk management in complex corporate environments
  • Good understanding of digital and technology-related regulatory requirements in India, such as regulations from IRDAI, CERT-IN and Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology
  • Industry knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, and modern technology solutions
  • General understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, ISO 31000 or COSO ERM
  • CISA, CGEIT, CRISC or similar qualifications are an advantage   
  • Ability to maintain a strong collaborative network within the business domains
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders – from senior managers to IT development teams
  • A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
  • Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of digital risk management as an enabler of business performance
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
