TA Analyst I


About Role:


As a Technical Accounting Analyst (TA Analyst I), You will manage end-to-end operational transactions for assigned L&H portfolios. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of premiums, claims, and payments through a strong understanding of reinsurance accounting.

A key part of the role involves reconciling client payments (premiums) and company disbursements (claims) with expected values in the ledger.

You will work closely with internal teams, external clients, and cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth business operations.



Principal Responsibilities:


Operations

  • Deliver consistently on operational and technical accounting commitments.
  • Perform premium and claims validation on client seriatim data to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
  • Reconcile payments received from clients (premiums) and payments made to clients (claims) against expected amounts in the client ledger.
  • Ensure high‑quality outputs within defined SLAs and turnaround times.
  • Drive operational efficiency while demonstrating Swiss Re Values.


People Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with team members and take accountability for results within assigned markets.
  • Contribute to multi‑matrixed teams beyond direct responsibilities.



Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Build effective communication channels with cross‑functional teams.
  • Support effective business processes and portfolio coordination.
  • Strengthening client relationships through proactive engagement.

 

About the Team


Your position is part of the APAX Technical Accounting & Services organization for Life & Health Business.

The team ensures that payments received from clients (premiums) and payments made to clients (claims) reconcile against expected amounts. Working within established frameworks while finding innovative solutions is key to the team's success.

The role reports to the Manager Operations Southeast Asia.

 

About You

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, or equivalent fields.
  • 1+ year of experience in banking, insurance, or financial services.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good data analytical abilities: Advanced Excel is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of insurance/reinsurance value chain and product concepts.
