TA Analyst II

About the Role

As a TA Analyst, you will play a key role in financial operations by ensuring the accuracy of premium and claim transactions and providing meaningful insights through data analysis. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex accounting matters and support continuous process improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contract compliance: Validate and analyze premium and claims data against contract wordings and agreements to ensure compliance.
  • Financial validation: Monitor financial figures in Technical Accounting systems and identify adverse premium or claim trends in client data.
  • Data analysis: Develop clear data analysis summaries to support decision-making across cross-functional teams.
  • Performance management: Deliver operational commitments consistently and manage key performance indicators to support effective cash flow management.
  • Stakeholder management: Build strong stakeholder relationships, strengthen client partnerships, and collaborate with matrixed teams across geographies to implement best practices.

 

About the Team

 

This role is part of the Global Technical Accounting & Services organization for the Life & Health business, which is responsible for Technical Accounting functions worldwide, including Business Solution Centers. The team ensures that client payments received as premiums and payments made as claims are reconciled against expected amounts. Success in this role requires working within established frameworks while identifying practical and innovative solutions. The position reports to the Manager Operations, Hong Kong, Taiwan & India.

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Insurance, or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking, insurance, reinsurance, or broader financial services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage client interactions effectively.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience working with financial data.
  • Sound insurance product knowledge and understanding of the insurance or reinsurance end-to-end value chain.


Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with SAS and Python.
  • Previous experience in technical accounting or similar reinsurance roles.
  • Knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
  • Experience working in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
