Technical Business Analyst III
We are looking for a high-impact Business Analyst to act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, structured, and translated into scalable, data-driven solutions.
Role
- Act as a bridge between Business and IT
- Translate business needs into clear, structured, and implementable requirements
- Ensure alignment between business intent, data behavior, and technical delivery
- Act as a self-starter who leverages data, system knowledge, and business context to independently drive analysis and strengthen requirements
- Act as deputy to Product Owner
- Support prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery readiness
- Engage with PO and feature owners to shape and refine requirements early
- Own backlog and delivery board
- Create, refine, and maintain user stories and backlog items
- Ensure stories have clear acceptance criteria and are delivery-ready
- Actively manage the delivery board to ensure transparency and flow
- Strengthen requirements through data and system understanding
- Use data analysis, system knowledge, and AI to:
- Analyze data flows, business logic, and system outputs
- Validate requirements against actual system behavior and investigate root causes of discrepancies
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, and inconsistencies proactively, supplementing stakeholder inputs
- Independently derive insights and strengthen requirements using data, system knowledge, and business context
- Understand data sourcing, lineage, transformations, and downstream impacts across the platform
- Structure requirements and documentation effectively
- Develop well-defined user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure clarity across business and IT
- Leverage AI for productivity and insights
- Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and refinement
- Identify patterns and opportunities for improvement
- Support delivery end-to-end
- Collaborate with engineering and QA on design discussions, validation, and defect clarification
- Support UAT and production issue investigation where required
- Drive proactive improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and outputs
- Bring forward-looking, value-driven ideas
- Manage change and impact
- Assess impact of change across the system, data flows, and reporting
About You
- Experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Risk and/or complex data-intensive environments
- Demonstrates a high degree of ownership and can operate effectively in ambiguous environments, quickly understanding complex business and technical problems, working with incomplete information, and independently strengthening requirements through analysis, data, and stakeholder engagement
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on outcomes and delivery
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to challenge assumptions and validate requirements through data
- Ability to:
- Independently analyze data and system behavior
- Clarify and strengthen requirements using data insights
- Work effectively in complex, ambiguous environments
- Hands-on experience in:
- Backlog management and story refinement
- Creating structured requirements and acceptance criteria
- Supporting planning and delivery workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and IT effectively
- Experience using AI tools for analysis, documentation, or productivity
- Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies, analytical tools, and AI capabilities to solve business problems
- Experience working with data and analytics technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, semantic/tabular models, BI platforms, or equivalent)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Understanding of market and credit risk
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure production environments
Nice to Have
- FRM certification
- Experience with financial risk or large-scale data platforms
- Understanding of data architecture, data lineage, or data governance concepts
