Third Party Operations and Delivery Lead

About the Role
As Third-Party Operations and Delivery Lead, you'll spearhead the end-to-end delivery of Swiss Re's Third-Party Management (TPM) services. You'll lead operational excellence across the full third-party lifecycle—from onboarding and due diligence to monitoring and offboarding—ensuring consistent, efficient, and scalable execution of our TPM framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global TPM operations team providing strategic direction, coaching, and development to team members across multiple locations while setting operational standards and fostering a high-performing culture
- Lead operational delivery of TPM services across the third-party lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate completion aligned with our framework
- Manage service quality by establishing metrics, tracking SLA/KPI performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery excellence
- Manage stakeholder relationships by establishing and maintaining effective partnering models between TPM and business units, group and corporate functions
- Ensure data quality by overseeing completeness and accuracy of third-party information across all operational touchpoints
- Drive risk monitoring and analysis of third-party risks using intelligence systems according to the TPM framework
- Oversee workflow management by triaging incoming requests and tickets, ensuring efficient processing and resolution
- Lead continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and supporting enhancements to tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities
- Execute automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of third-party operations
- Support resilience initiatives including scenario-based testing and incident event simulations involving third parties
- Provide project management for the TPM Ops and Delivery portfolio, maintaining principles, standards, and third-party classifications
- Monitor industry trends in third-party management and share relevant insights with stakeholders
About the Team
The TPM Delivery and Operations team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Swiss Re's Third-Party Management (TPM) services. The team executes the core operational activities that support third-party engagements across their full lifecycle, including onboarding, due diligence execution, ongoing monitoring activities, and offboarding. By managing intake, documentation, process execution, and control activities, the team ensures TPM requirements are applied consistently and efficiently across the organization. The team also delivers accurate and timely management information, enabling senior management transparency and fulfilling regulatory and governance reporting obligations.
About You
You're an experienced people leader who excels at ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations while driving transformation in complex environments. You combine strong team leadership with operational oversight, developing your team members while maintaining consistent service delivery. With your project management skills and execution discipline, you implement strategic changes and continuous improvements across processes and systems. You're adept at organizing teams and initiatives to achieve both operational stability and progressive transformation, building collaborative relationships across the organization to ensure both current success and future evolution.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in business operations, third-party oversight, or compliance functions within financial services, with proven track record of managing workflows and delivering consistent outcomes
- Extensive experience in third-party risk management or operational risk management, demonstrating oversight of third-party lifecycle processes
- Proven leadership experience in managing global and cross-functional teams with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach to service delivery
- Master's Degree, preferably in business, with excellent English language skills
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with insurance, reinsurance, or banking related to third-party services
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, EIOPA, FINMA, PRA, MAS, Solvency II)
- Experience with SOC reporting or relevant certifications (e.g., CTPRP, CTPRA, CRCM, CRM, IRM)
- Experience supporting internal and external audits, with focus on operational preparedness
- Proficiency in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies
- Additional language skills beyond English
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
