UW & Claims Admin Analyst

About the Role



As an UW Admin and Claims Triage Analyst, you will support Swiss Re's reinsurance operations by managing the intake process for claims and Underwriting correspondence and setting up underwriting/claims' cases in our tools. You will ensure all claims and claims-related correspondences are identified, prioritized, and routed accurately, adhering to service levels, market practices, and governance standards. You will also be responsible for managing the administrative functions of the underwriting team.



Key Responsibilities

  • Review and triage all incoming reinsurance claims correspondence received via shared mailboxes and claims tool.
  • Identify claim type and line of business for respective markets using predefined triage guidelines.
  • Route claims accurately to the relevant claims' adjudicator of the respective regional teams for further claims adjudication.
  • Flag incomplete or unclear submissions and follow standard procedures to request missing information
  • Ensure claims triage is completed within defined service level agreements.
  • Maintain high accuracy when capturing and validating claim information
  • Participate in training, coaching, and quality reviews.
  • Perform premium checks using available tools to validate accurate cession in line with reinsurance arrangements and identify and communicate any discrepancies or missing premiums to relevant teams.
  • Work closely with other triage analysts and claims specialists.
  • Perform 100% case induction for allocated markets by accurately setting up underwriting cases in the underwriting case management tool in line with established operational standards.
  • Perform ongoing Underwriting tool administration activities, including workflow cleanup to maintain data integrity and support efficient underwriting workflows.
  • Responsible for Underwriting and claims tool access management to include granting, modifying, and revoking access in accordance with governance and access control requirements.
  • Own and manage shared administrative email inboxes ensuring all requests are monitored, prioritized, and actioned within defined service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and deliver reporting activities for the region, including KPI reporting, monthly dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of data.
  • Provide administrative support for team meetings, including coordination, scheduling, and logistics, as well as assistance with event and general administrative management.

You'll be joining the Life & Health Underwriting Services team in Bangalore, a critical operational hub that supports Swiss Re's underwriting and claims functions.

The UW and Claim Admin provide the essential workflow management and administrative support that enables underwriters and claims specialists to focus on technical assessments and client relationships.

About You



You are methodical and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a strong service mindset. You thrive in a structured environment where accuracy is paramount, yet you remain adaptable when priorities shift. You understand the importance of following established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement, and you're eager to develop specialized knowledge in reinsurance operations.


We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Any Graduate with 1-2 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance operations with good understanding of end-to-end insurance value chain.
  • Expertise in Underwriting and/or claims management application will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and similar data visualization tools.
  • Strong Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams etc)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Other foreign languages will be added advantage
  • Ability to prioritize work under pressure and manage fluctuating work volumes.
