About the role

We offer an inspiring opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join an engaging interdisciplinary team which supports regulatory reporting works. Your major task as the Regulatory Reporting Manager who will facilitate the internal teams for regulatory report generation and act as the interface with the regulator for reports submission. In this role, you will also be responsible for collaborating with the regulator, internal business team, IT team and external vendors for reporting system enhancements.

Responsibilities and opportunities include the following:

  • Single point of contact for regulatory data reporting to CBIRC / CBIT, which includes
    • Report the data to the regulator in timely manner
    • Data quality feedback and resolution 
    • New reporting requirements coordination
  • Regulator reporting manager for Swiss Re internal coordination
    • Regulatory reporting process owner
    • Facilitating the data collection, review and approval
    • Facilitating the reporting issues to be resolved, escalating un-resolvable issues
    • Coordinator for enhancements from various biz team
    • Provide management reporting 
  • Analysis on gaps or enhancement possibility on regulatory reporting.Work with IT and business teams to uplift the system;
  • Report and present to management team on the regulatory data reporting tasks on regular basis.

About you

Ideally, you should have a bachelor degree in computer, or information science/engineering ,or (Re)Insurance or economics, and possess good skills and experience in business analysis and project management. Previous exposure to digital business technologies (including automated underwriting, predictive, quantitative analytics, etc.) is a plus.

Analytical / Technical / Experience Requirements

  • You have a solid experience of the nature of doing business in Asia in the area of insurance industry, specifically in China is a plus
  • You feel comfortable communicating and negotiating in a dynamic environment
  • A good understanding of (Re)-Insurance business or finance is a strong plus
  • Good documentation skills and presentation skills
  • Analytical & conceptual skills to understand key business needs and communicate the requirements with IT and external vendors
  • Experience in the regulator management is a strong plus
