IFO Network Lead 1

You are a strategic thinking, start-up minded individual eager to support the global build and execution of L&H Re's In-Force Optimisation strategic initiative.  You will contribute and help to execute on high-priority business initiatives and activities (strategically and operationally), act as trusted partner and challenger to the Head of IFO and her leadership team, and drive focus on the critical items to be successful in delivering IFO's 5-year Ambition while implementing its new operating model globally.

 

You lead by example and role model collaboration across a global, multi-functional team creating strong relationships, and build and maintain enduring partnerships across the organisation.
 
About the Role 

 

You will be working in a high performing environment on a broad range of topics providing direct support to the Head of IFO to manage the foundation, build and growth of IFO, operationally and strategically.

 

Support Head of IFO on strategic initiative execution and communications

  • Support Head of IFO and her leadership team to report progress to all internal stakeholders, including L&H Re EC and MUs.  Coordinate and support internal and external communications, develop storyline and prepare content.
  • Build and maintain robust IFO SI reporting via close sheet for all actions, IFO dashboard and routine feeds into Falcon.  Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of reporting each quarter, and monitor follow-ups as appropriate.  Work closely with Actuarial and Finance teams to deliver IFO KPI reporting. 
  • Drive execution of the IFO market strategy in each of L&H Re's 8 MUs, ensuring alignment with MUs, PSM and other multi-functional teams.


Manage IFO operational activities and facilitate new robust operating model globally.

  • Design, build and implement the IFO Network globally and implement new operating model, including multi-functional communication network, KPI reporting, monitoring processes, annual planning process, prioritization process, etc.
  • Support IFO leadership team in educating, training, and equipping Client Markets/MUs on how to originate IFO opportunities.  Build dashboard and pipeline tracking for each MU.  Develop inventory of IFO solutions, case studies and highlights on portable elements from market to market.
  • Work with Marketing and IFO leadership team to build external IFO brand and communications.
  • Monitor operational risks through ensuring proper oversight of governance and risk control activities across the department, e.g., close sheet, hand-over sheet, etc.
  • Develop and drive the execution of people agenda including community engagement, culture transformation and continuous learning to build future ready capabilities, e.g., IFRS expertise, UW 2025 IF Costing framework.
  • Represent the department to collaborate with all L&H, Globals, Digital & Tech Re, Solutions Division, Risk Management, and Finance, along with IFO's DOO to solidify the operating platform, enhance productivity and operation excellence to provide an integrated experience to the MU. 

 

About the Team

 

You'll be supporting the Head of In-Force Optimisation and her team.  The IFO Network Lead is an individual contributor and reports to the Head of In-Force Optimisation initially.

 

About You

 

Self-starter who enjoys managing multiple tasks concurrently with a high level of integrity, able to deal with sensitive and critical information.

 

Essentials:

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills to manage and oversee the execution on a portfolio of IFO activities.
  • Strong financial acumen and excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, problem-solving and judgement.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills for networking, story building, presenting, training, and collaborating.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft 365 including MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

 

Nice to haves:

  • Proven track record of building productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including senior management.
  • IFRS-17 understanding and expertise, plus Power BI and Stargate skills.
  • Ability to translate ideas into executable concepts with clear priorities and processes.
  • Experience in KPI monitoring and understanding control aspects of operational risks.
  • Experience working in the re/insurance industry and good understanding of the Life & Health businesses, and the EMEA or Asia local markets and competitor landscape.
