About the Role:


Are you looking to take your next step in a start-up environment offering room for you to grow? As the Product Manager Lead, you have a very exciting opportunity to join Insurance Operations on the Build Team where you will support the vision and execution of the build portfolio, partner with the New Business & Run teams on full organizational delivery and manage a team of analysts focused on driving our industry-leading digital implementations through requirements, testing, innovation and support.


As part of this role, you will:


Have accountability of the dynamic build portfolio ensuring its timely delivery, functionality and market readiness.

Be the Product Manager for projects/value streams, as assigned, setting strategy at events, providing prioritized features and ensuring delivery to plan.

Provide strategic and ruthless prioritization of the portfolio, along with other Product Managers/Owners, to collaborate on delivery and release schedule.

Facilitate and participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies to ensure the team is equipped to succeed.

Be a servant leader to a team that supports the multi-modular, build portfolio from analysis, documenting requirements, configuring the system and testing.

Coach, mentor, and guide a team while fostering a collaborative, autonomous, and empowering work environment.

Provide continual feedback and knowledge transfer to direct reports, implementation teams, and internal customers

Assess current landscape, account for departmental gaps, and strategize for the future growth and scale of the organization.

Engage with internal and external clients/customers to understand business need.

Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency and increase quality.

Be a change agent and propose improvement ideas to challenge our process.

Use data to drive decisions, build a business case, and gain insights.

Advocate, lobby, and campaign for our SAFe methodology; directing people to adhere to the process.

Cascade business critical metrics and objectives to the team.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to new application submission through underwriting decision.

Contribute to the annual budget process and modify throughout the year.


About You:


You have at least 10 years' experience in life and health operations, including insurance administration, with proficiency in all key value chain components.

You have at least 10 years' experience working with life and health operation platforms.

You have at least 5 years' experience of solving complex industry specific problems, with a consistent track record.

You have at least 5 years' experience in vendor and relationship management.

You have effectively influenced decisions, defended your position, and exhibited successful negotiation.

You have a proven track record leading a team.

You have strong analytical skills and a great financial acuity.

You have strong relationship building, organization and management skills with experience working in fast-paced environments.

You are resourceful in overcoming barriers to achieve objectives.

You combine critical thinking with pragmatic implementation.
