About The Role
 

  • Lead the BAU Support functional team comprised of operational control management, customer service, and prioritization aligning with the portfolio commitments within iptiQ
  • Develop a strategic plan and implementation roadmap, positioning successful growth and scalability.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, direction, and day to day management of the teams supporting our Life and Health insurance products, diverse distribution channels, and wide range of vendor relations.
  • Effectively ensure the day-to-day services are performed in accordance with commitments.
  • Establish key performance indicators, supervise, and track against those metrics.
  • Collaborate and support the corporate strategic discipline, establishing and monitoring vendor velocity through powerful relationship management.



Responsibilities
 

  • Perform all people management responsibility from hiring, ensuring employee success throughout entire tenure at iptiQ, driving results, and executing on team commitments which will help us achieve our business and user goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and other stakeholders including, product managers, engineers, legal, compliance, and other business subject matter experts to influence prioritization, and execute solutions that deliver on company goals.
  • Engage with operational delivery teams to ensure overall readiness positioning the team for success, while meeting our customer's expectations.
  • Partner with Platform Operations to ensure barriers are removed, production issues are accurately tested, and incident resolution is met; decide whether a release is approved for deployment.
  • Streamline overall processes and work closely with tech and data team to identify and implement areas of improvement.
  • Foster a curious, creative, solution-minded oriented team, exceeding results.
  • Ensure compliance of operational procedures, processes, and practices, internally and externally; establish where needed.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the operational teams to ensure customer promises, key performance indicators and business commitments are achieved.
  • Participate in Distribution Partnership conversations as needed, listening to their pain points, and offering solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and manage tools positioning internal and external teams are successful, and positioned for scale.
  • Limited travel for various strategic or critical collaborative discovery meetings.
  • Support other organizational assignments as needed.

About You

  • Minimum of 7 years previous experience with individual Life and Health insurance operations required.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an individual Life and/or Health insurance leadership required.
  • Proven track record of managing high performing teams, driving results with a direct correlation to corporate strategy, with autonomy and initiative. 
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong conceptual thinking combined with excellent problem-solving capabilities and an innovative approach.
  • Strong project management skills with high degree of comfort managing multiple projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using the Agile methodology.
  • Ability to deal positively with ambiguity in a fast-moving business environment.
  • Ability to communicate opportunities clearly and effectively, design processes, ideas, and solutions to business teams, clients, and development team.
  • Comfort working in a start-up style environment where the pace is fast the path is not always linear or clear.
