Operational Quality Analyst

About the role

 

As a multi-faceted business and quality analyst, are you looking for new challenges to grow personally in a start-up environment? You have an exceptional and exciting opportunity to join a cross functional team within of iptiQ, a new US business unit within a global organization. You will join a diverse team committed to delivering services to iptiQ's wide variety of clients. We put the consumer experience at the heart of everything we do.

You will be responsible for the design and execution of test plans and test cases that ensure the quality of the software on each release.  You will work closely with the business users, vendor partners, other analysts, and members of our IT team to ensure quality of our software design changes.  

 

As part of this role, you will:

 

  • Create, maintain and follow process & procedural documentation;
  • Collaborate effectively cross-functionally and see the big picture to effectively test solutions;
  • Interact with business users, external vendors, and internal developers on a daily basis;
  • Create a test strategy and test scenarios traceable to user stories and estimate test effort
  • Create and execute test plans, provide test sign-off;
  • Create new test templates;
  • Use appropriate tools for testing execution;
  • Conduct production testing and post-production monitoring as necessary
  • Be a problem solver: analyze issues, identify root causes, propose solutions and consistently track issue resolution.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency and increase quality;
  • Develop knowledge of processes and systems across all front-end functions, including intersections with other functional units and external vendors and partners;

 

 

 

About You

 

  • You have first-hand experience in a quality assurance role in an e-commerce environment.  You understand Software Test Life Cycle and Test Methodologies.
  • You have worked in agile environment(s) and are competent in tools such as JIRA, Confluence and/or Azure DevOps.
  • You can focus on multiple projects at once and troubleshoot problems quickly.
  • You can see the big picture and develop test scenarios which flow through multiple processes and vendors to ensure all components are working.
  • You have been independently responsible for creating test plans and executing all testing responsibilities.
  • You are organized and detailed-oriented.
  • You are resourceful in overcoming barriers to achieve objectives. You can handle multiple assignments with overlapping delivery dates. You learn how to use new tools quickly.
  • You are IT literate and understand basic concepts of API's.
  • You demonstrate a creative mindset with a strong interest in new technologies. You are hands-on and enjoy resolving problems.
  • You effectively communicate business issues, objectives and scope. You have strong presentation skills and enjoy working within a rapidly changing environment.
  • You are passionate about delivering customer value and seamless customer experience. You are detailed oriented and take pride in delivering high quality results.
  • You have experience working with SQL.
