About the Role:

Are you looking to take your next step in a start-up environment offering room for you to grow? As the Rules Engine BSA, you have a very exciting opportunity to join Insurance Operations on the Build Team where you will support the Rules Engine and execution of the new build portfolio, partner with the New Business & Run teams on driving our industry-leading digital implementations through requirements, testing, innovation and support.

 

As part of this role, you will:

  • Support the Rules Engine Product Domain, ensuring its timely delivery, functionality and market readiness.
  • Design, plan and execute implementation of new rules, products and integrated solutions for Life and Health products within the Rules Engine(s).
  • Implement configuration changes consistently with identified requirements.
  • Strategize collaboratively for underwriting rules design and interaction.
  • Maintain rule documentation and quality control standards across rule development.
  • Acquire a deep working knowledge for Rules Engine and turnaround high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate on testing activities by creating relevant test scenarios for stories and features, performing tests, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Support planning, refinement, review, and daily sprint activities through standard tracking tools.
  • Be the point of contact to resolve production issues related to the rules engine.
  • Facilitate and participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies to ensure the team is equipped to succeed.
  • Engage with internal and external clients/customers to understand business need.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency and increase quality.
  • Be a change agent and propose improvement ideas to challenge our process.
  • Learn, adapt and be an advocate for our SAFe methodology.

 

About You:

  • You have at least 5 years' experience in a technical setting delivering technical capabilities and implementing business critical solutions.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience of solving complex industry specific problems, with a consistent track record.
  • You have proven success with Rules Engine Build/Update, User Interface integration and other technical acumen
  • You are skilled at transforming features into actionable stories for system enhancements, configuration changes and builds.
  • You have effectively influenced decisions, defended your position, and exhibited successful negotiation.
  • You have strong analytical skills

  • You have strong relationship building, organization and management skills with experience working in fast-paced environments.
  • Technical acumen and basic understanding of Programming languages

  • You are resourceful in overcoming barriers to achieve objectives.
  • You combine critical thinking with pragmatic implementation.
  • You are passionate about delivering customer value and a seamless customer experience.
  • Experience in life and health operations preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Sparkling Logic & Unqork software desired, but not required
