About the Role

 

The Scrum Master will be an integral part of our transformation to SAFe Agile across the organization.

 

  • Servant leader focused on maximizing the throughput of a team and helping them become more effective by ensuring adherence to an agile framework (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and embracing SAFe principles
  • Supports the overall adoption of SAFe across the enterprise by coaching stakeholders and other non-agile teams on effective interactions with agile teams
  • Facilities Agile events.  Leads daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manages interdependencies between agile teams
  • Partner with the Product Owner to enable short and long-term sprint and release planning, and guide the team to maintain a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
  • Shield the team from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity
  • Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments  (cultural barriers, logistic challenges ect) to improve team likelihood of achieving objectives.  
  • Foster close cooperation across all team members; encourages cross-training and team support
  • Build a trusting and safe environment 
  • Administer and communicate metrics tracking and other means in order to aid team in overall planning and team throughput
  • Cultivate a team culture/environment of continuous learning and improvement

About You

 

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or RTE certification or Scrum Master certification 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a scrum master in a software development or IT organization
  • Experience with managing distributed software development teams 
  • Ability to coach team and stakeholders on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology
  • Able to resolve conflicts; strong mediation skills. Strong communication skills, to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts
  • Strong problem solver with ability to coach and mentor a team to maximize progress and potential
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, CA Rally, Trello, etc
  • Skilled at analytic and status summation tools such as Power BI for reporting, MS Project, MS Office, MS Teams/Planner, SharePoint/Wiki Confluence collaboration
