About the Role

This isn't about building AI for the sake of it - you'll create solutions that actually matter. From leveraging AI to read complex documents to building AI assistants that make everyone's job easier, your work will directly impact how one of the world's leading reinsurance companies operates.

We're Swiss Re's biggest data science team – a friendly, ambitious group building AI solutions used across the entire company. Think of us as an internal AI startup: we work with teams all over the world to design and deliver tools that make their everyday work smarter and faster.

Our products are created right here in Bratislava but used globally. We care about solid data science skills, but we equally value engineering excellence, scalable infrastructure, and delivering reliable, production‑ready AI.

About You

You're curious about AI and excited to apply it to solve meaningful problems. You enjoy both building technical solutions and understanding the human needs behind them. Most importantly, you're eager to learn and grow in a team that supports your development.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Python (or similar languages) and experience with modern AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with Generative AI and/or Natural Language Processing

These are additional nice to haves:

• Experience deploying AI solutions, including model monitoring and maintenance 
• Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and distributed computing 
• Solid Understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps methodologies
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and trying new approaches

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,400 and EUR 4,100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.​
