Access Control and Compliance Specialist (Hybrid setup)

About the team 

 

The Security Team at Swiss Re is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of security across the organization. This encompasses a broad range of activities including cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance. We are at the forefront of developing and implementing the company's security strategy. Within this dynamic environment, the Access Compliance Ops team plays a crucial role by offering expert access management services, establishing robust access management processes in line with compliance requirements, and managing access life cycle processes for all users. We're looking for an experienced and driven professional to jump into the role of Access Control and Compliance Specialist to enhance our processes and services through expert analysis, ensuring adherence to our security standards. 

 

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

  • Proactive Audit Leadership and Innovation: Lead and perform our self-audit activities with an emphasis on proactivity rather than reactivity. Utilize your extensive experience to conduct forward-thinking evaluations of our Identity and Access Management processes, identifying areas for immediate improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance security and compliance before issues arise 
  • Expertise in Compliance: Not only ensure our compliance efforts align with IT General Controls (ITGCs) and relevant standards, but also dynamically adapt to changes or business needs 
  • Data and Process Integrity: Assess the accuracy of data and evaluate key processes against benchmarks for dependability, availability, and performance 
  • Identity and Access Management Oversight: Oversee user access and identities with comprehensive reviews, maintaining strict security measures 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Take charge of coordinating requests, solving issues, and promoting effective communication across different teams 
  • Strategic Impact: Demonstrate an exceptional ability to quickly understand complex systems and processes, making significant contributions from the start. Your strategic approach will set you apart, enabling you to identify key leverage points for immediate and long-term improvements in our security posture 
  • Culture and Learning: Foster a culture of learning and development while encouraging collaborative teamwork within the organisation 

 

 

Your qualifications

Essential Skills: 

  • Deep understanding of IT fundamentals, especially IT General Controls (ITGCs), with a focus on strategic application in a dynamic business environment 
  • Demonstrable experience in audit and compliance in at least some of these areas: 
    • Comprehensive audit expertise 
    • Experience with self-auditing and external audit facilitation 
    • Compliance mastery 
    • Risk assessment and management 
    • Policy and process development 
    • Audit reporting, compliance documentation and risk assessment analyses 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and practical knowledge of SQL 
  • Experience in data gathering and analysis 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • An autonomous, self-motivated individual capable of rapid adaptation and the initiative to identify and pursue improvements independently 
  • Proven ability to quickly integrate into new and evolving environments 

 

Desirable Skills: 

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Power Platforms/Automate 
  • Basic programming skills 

 

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 3,100 EUR full-time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group. You can look forward to extra rewards and benefits.
