Analytics Solution Engineer (Hybrid)

About the Role

In our Document Analytics Engineering team, you will assist in building and maintaining a state-of-the-art big data product. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting analytics projects

  • Learning to implement end-to-end solutions

  • Identifying opportunities to optimize existing systems

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders

  • Applying Agile and DevOps best practices to accelerate delivery

  • Fostering strong relationships with key business and IT partners

About the Team

Our team is dedicated to driving Swiss Re's mission to become a truly data-driven organization. We are expanding and looking for a motivated individual to join us in our Agile environment. You will collaborate with internal and external experts, as well as business area colleagues, to build and run innovative solutions for big data analytics, information retrieval, text mining, predictive analytics, and Gen AI-driven analytics.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who embodies our values of innovation and collaboration. You should have:

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Understanding of software development, with some experience in Python programming.

  • Familiarity with data processing concepts and an eagerness to learn Apache Spark.

  • A keen interest in distributed systems, big data, and security concepts.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to technologies such as API programming, Docker, Git, CI/CD

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Scrum)

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is a plus but not required

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 1,600] and [EUR 2,600] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
