Angular Junior Developer (Student Role)

About the Role
As a student Angular Developer, you'll get to work on actual web applications that matter, with the flexibility to accommodate your class schedule. You'll code alongside experienced developers who are genuinely interested in helping you grow and learn the ropes of professional development. We believe in creating an environment where you can gain practical experience without compromising your education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and build features for web applications using the Angular framework
- Team up with senior developers to implement new functionality and improvements
- Write clean code that follows best practices and is maintainable by the team
- Hunt down and fix bugs and issues in existing applications
- Get involved in code reviews to improve your skills (we keep feedback constructive!)
- Keep up with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development
- Help out with testing and documentation (important skills for any developer)
About the Team
You'll be joining the Application Development Services (ADS) team, a friendly group of tech professionals who create custom software solutions using agile methodologies. We handle everything from building new applications to designing architecture and providing ongoing support. Our team values knowledge sharing and creates an environment where new developers can learn, contribute, and grow their skills.
About You
You're a student with enthusiasm for web development and creating great user experiences. You can balance your coursework while making meaningful contributions to professional projects. You're curious by nature, enjoy solving technical challenges, and are eager to learn from experienced developers while bringing your fresh ideas to the table.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Intermediate knowledge of Angular framework and its core concepts
- Solid foundation in HTML and CSS fundamentals
- Experience with AI prompting and understanding how to use it effectively
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Some exposure to E2E testing with Playwright
- An eye for good UI/UX design principles
- Familiarity with Agile development methods
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
- Basic understanding of backend concepts
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Skills in managing study commitments alongside work responsibilities
The minimum gross base salary for this role is 10 EUR/ per hour. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
