About the team

 

ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulations and standards are rapidly emerging across the globe and imposing new and complex reporting requirements which impact Swiss Re. Our team together with you are responsible for shaping and building the Sustainability Reporting platform encompassing all technology and data capabilities which allow for efficient end-to-end data flows and reporting, on a global as well as on local legal entity level to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

 

About the Role

 

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible to:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing applications
  • Build and manage robust and scalable data pipelines to support sustainability reporting requirements at both Group and local legal entity levels
  • Adhere to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Collaborate on architectural decisions to align with enterprise standards and meet evolving business needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and analysts, to support diverse data requirements

 

About you 

 

  • Experience building modular application with complex business logic
  • Strong engineering skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred, TypeScript is a plus)
  • Proficient in implementing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and reporting solutions
  • Focused on testing and quality assurance practices
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting, IT operations, or governance processes is an advantage
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and PySpark is an advantage.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,700] and [EUR 4,400] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

•        the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

•        the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
