Asset Management & Finance Internship - Spark Programme

About the Opportunity 

 

Spark Asset Management & Finance is a Bratislava-based internship designed to develop emerging talent across the Asset Management and Finance industry. 

 

This unique experience offers university students the opportunity to participate in an exclusive two-semester (up to 20 hours per week) internship programme, working within a dedicated Asset Management or Finance business team and contributing to meaningful business outcomes. 

 

Interns gain hands-on experience while participating in curated sessions and trainings led by leaders across departments directly and indirectly supporting Asset Management and Finance operations. 

 

The programme reflects Swiss Re’s forward-thinking approach to Asset Management and Finance, embedding AI-enabled and data-driven practices into everyday business decision-making. 

 

To conclude the 9-month programme, each intern will have the opportunity to compete for a permanent role within our organization (subject to availability at the given time). Career opportunities and additional awards are granted to top performers. 

   

About You  

   

  • University student from 3rd to 5th year of studies as of September 2026 having a basic understanding in the field of Asset Management or Finance  

  • Good command of written and spoken English  

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail 

  • Proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic about technology and innovation 

  • Professional demeanour and respect for diverse expertise 

  • Creative, self-driven, flexible, and open to new challenges 

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 

  • Strong team player   

 

Nice to have  

 

  • Interest in financial markets 

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office tools
