Business Analyst (NatCat Team)

We are looking for a strong Business Analyst, who will work closely with the Product Owner, Developers and Business Owners to deliver on the product roadmap and vision.
You will drive requirement engineering and quality assurance of our tools and platforms. You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset focused on achieving progress as well as an open-minded, intellectually curious approach to everything you do. In this role, you will work at the heart of Swiss Re's Natural Catastrophe modelling platform, together with Scientists, Software Engineers and Architects across various locations. Roles & Responsibilities
• Collect, maintain, and understand business requirements in collaboration with the Product Owner
• Write clear and concise requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring that requirements are unambiguous, complete, consistent and verifiable
• Contribute to squad product development, e.g. develop prototypes in Python, or Mockups with various tools as required (e.g. Swagger)
• Understand and describe complex systems from a micro service integration perspective, assuring the global consistency and the integration in the UI tools
• Align and drive cross squad development work
• Set up and/or coordinate testing activities
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can be effective leaders with functional and operational expertise as outlined below:
• Bachelor in computer science or similar
• 3+ years of experience working on SaaS platforms in agile approaches (e.g. Scrum) and distributed teams with broad experience in large IT projects
• Good communication skills to interact/brainstorm together with our business stakeholders and other business analysts
• Good documentation and user story description skills
• Very good understanding of Insurance and Re-insurance business
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with orientation to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Ability to work with tight deadlines, prioritize and re-prioritize around changing organizational objectives and timelines
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,200] and [EUR 3,700] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
