The Contracts and Wordings Services team at Swiss Re develops and maintains innovative wording-related products and solutions for Underwriters, Contract Experts, and Business Services across all business units globally. About the Role
As a Business Analyst in the Contracts and Wordings Services team, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders from Underwriting Excellence and Claims to build advanced analytics solutions for contract wording risk analysis. Your role will involve applying analytical methods to generate insights from unstructured data, contributing to the development of comprehensive wording analytics solutions. By helping to improve Swiss Re's contract quality, you will play a key role in steering the data analytics strategy and driving the success of our innovative contract lifecycle management products.
In your role, you will
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Work with business units to elicit, document, and refine requirements for developing advanced analytics capabilities related to contract and clause wording analysis.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with teams from Data Science, Data Engineering, Underwriting, and Claims implement technologies for assessing contractual risks at a portfolio level and in the deep-dives
- Product Effectiveness & Improvement: Evaluate current product performance, identify improvement areas, and support initiatives to enhance contract lifecycle management solutions.
- Data Science & Analytics Solutions: Assist in building data science solutions for contractual risk analysis, data annotation, validation, testing, and creating interactive dashboards for insights.
- Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with the Product Manager and leadership to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmaps. Help develop detailed product requirements, workflows, and stories, aligned with agile practices.
About You
- Proven experience as a business analyst, demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to understand legal obligations.
- Ability to think conceptually and understand how to find commonalities across various stakeholders' requirements to develop and drive a coherent product
- Background in insurance or reinsurance, with exposure to contract wordings considered an advantage.
- Track record of working directly with end users and stakeholders and experience in leading them through a structured process in formulating their requirements in a coherent and holistic manner
- Motivated to deliver high-quality results on time, prioritising team success and collaboration with senior colleagues.
- Familiar with agile project management methodologies and DevOps practices, contributing to collaborative development processes.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with a willingness to learn and apply Generative AI techniques for contract risk assessment.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2100 and EUR 3400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
