About the Role
As a Business Process & Product Analyst within our Risk Engineering Services (RES) Technology & Analytics team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping business concepts, streamlining end-to-end business processes and developing and enhancing data products and tools for both internal stakeholders and external customers. Your work will directly impact how our Risk Engineers advise and mitigate risks for our global Customers and assess risk for Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit business requirements – gather, analyze, validate and document user needs, business processes and data quality requirements as basis for technical solutions
- Screen, evaluate and propose emerging technologies – support Risk Engineering in adopting new technology solutions (incl. AI solutions) applicable in the Risk Engineering and Underwriting domain
- Support process optimization – contribute to business process optimization to increase efficiency and standardization across global Risk Engineering operations
- Learn and apply –continuously increase your understanding of the end-to-end insurance value chain and contribute to an integrated workflow landscape within SwissRe.
- Support deployment of technology solutions – contribute to change management activities (training, communication) to support successful implementation and user adoption of new processes, tools, and initiatives.
- Support full life-cycle project management – assist project managers and IT product owners in effective execution of initiatives, quarterly and annual business planning cycles
About the Team
The Risk Engineering Services (RES) team is part of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions that offers innovative insurance solutions for multi-national corporations around the globe. Risk Engineering is represented globally by around 200 employees across more than 20 Swiss Re offices worldwide. Your role will be within the global RES Centre unit, serving regional RES units worldwide. You'll be part of a diverse team with expertise in data analytics, AI, risk engineering, business process analysis, requirements elicitation, and project management. You'll report to the Lead RES Technology & Analytics in Zurich, working within a team located in Zurich, Bratislava, and Bangalore, and stakeholders worldwide.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Previous experience (5-10 years) in a Business Analyst, Business Product Owner, Process Analyst, or Business Consultant role, ideally within a data-driven environment
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems, generate and test structured solution options, and maintain attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, with a structured approach and the ability to proactively drive initiatives forward
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working in a global and multicultural environment
- Self-driven and quick to learn, with the ability to rapidly familiarize yourself with new topics and approach problems with curiosity
These are additional nice to haves:
- Master's degree or higher in Science, Applied Engineering (such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering), or Business Administration
- Understanding of data analytics and data science principles, with a tech-savvy mindset enabling effective work in a data- and tool-rich environment
- Experience working within large, complex multinational organizations and navigating diverse stakeholder landscapes
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,100 and 3,400 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
