Claims Specialist (Hybrid)

About the Role


As a Claims Governance & Performance Excellence (CGPE) Specialist, you will be integral to the success of the Claims team by supporting key functions such as Claims Governance, Quality Assurance, Vendor Management, Subrogation, and Counter Fraud. This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of efficiency and performance.
Reporting directly to the Head of CGPE, you will work closely with team members to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient operations across multiple focus areas. Additionally, you will collaborate with other claims teams to ensure alignment with CGPE initiatives and governance standards. Your success will be measured by your ability to manage tasks with precision, foster team collaboration, and drive continuous improvements across CGPE functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Vendor Management: Oversee the claims vendor workflow, ensuring service providers are properly managed and tracked. Provide regular management information (MI) reporting and analysis.
•    Counter Fraud: Assist in fraud prevention by conducting data quality analysis, reporting on trends, and supporting audit reviews.
•    Subrogation: Support subrogation activities through accurate data analysis and reporting.
•    Claims Governance: Administer manual controls, manage document groups, track training compliance, and prepare ad hoc reports.
•    Quality Assurance (QA): Monitor and analyze QA activities, manage quality reviews, and report on performance metrics.

 

Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices across all CGPE functions. You will also be responsible for preparing and presenting regular, data-driven reports that provide valuable insights to Claims, Compliance, and Risk Management teams, utilizing relevant tools and software.

About You

 

You are motivated and independent, eager to learn new skills. You are analytical problem solver, able to interpret data and make informed decisions supporting operational efficiency. You have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities. You also have exceptional interpersonal skills allowing you to convey complex information to various types of audiences, and to connect with different teams and foster collaborative environment. Some training capabilities may be required occasionally to support the wider team.
 

Essential:
•    3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a preference for claims-related roles.
•    Experience working with Claims Workbench
•    Digital literacy – proficient user of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools used in claims management
•    Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

 

Desirables:
•    Familiarity with claims processes, with knowledge in areas such as Vendor Management, Counter Fraud, Recovery, or Quality Assurance being a plus.
•    Familiarity with industry-specific tools such as Palantir or Stargate.
•    Prior experience in training or mentoring.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1700 and EUR 2800 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. 
In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range. 
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
