Client & Customer Due Diligence Associate

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Associate to join the newly established centralized Client & Customer Due Diligence Team within Asset Management. In this role, you will support the day-to-day execution of KYC activities, including onboarding, periodic reviews and screening. You will work closely with asset class specialists, Compliance and business teams while developing your expertise in KYC, AML and International Trade Controls.
As Associate you will:
- Perform KYC onboarding and periodic reviews across Asset Management in line with applicable procedures and requirements
- Collect, review and validate KYC documentation, including corporate, ownership and related information
- Perform AML and International Trade Controls (ITC) screening activities and support KYC activities relating to Swiss Re entities
- Ensure KYC information and documentation are accurate, complete and appropriately maintained in relevant systems
- Identify missing or inconsistent information, coordinate follow-up with relevant stakeholders and escalate complex or higher-risk cases when appropriate
- Work closely with the business, Compliance and assurance functions to support timely and consistent completion of KYC activities and audit testing
- Contribute to KYC data-quality reviews, remediation activities, process improvements and testing of KYC tools and workflows
About the Team
The centralized Client & Customer Due Diligence Team is being established within Asset Management as a dedicated Centre of Excellence for KYC activities. The team will bring together specialist knowledge and consistent execution across asset classes and business areas.
Working closely with Compliance, Middle Office, Governance, IT and business teams, the KYC team will be responsible for KYC onboarding and periodic reviews, screening activities, KYC data quality, process standards and continuous improvement of the supporting KYC platforms and workflows.
About You
You are a structured and detail-oriented professional who enjoys analytical work and takes ownership of your responsibilities. You are curious, collaborative and motivated to develop specialist KYC knowledge. You communicate clearly, work reliably and are comfortable coordinating with different stakeholders to resolve issues and complete cases.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Initial professional experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, financial-services operations or a related area is preferred
- Basic understanding of KYC/AML principles and an interest in developing deeper expertise in financial-crime prevention
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to review documentation and identify missing or inconsistent information
- Structured and reliable working style, with the ability to manage assigned cases and priorities independently
- Good communication and collaboration skills
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience within Asset Management, banking, insurance, reinsurance or another regulated financial institution
- Experience with KYC screening tools, workflow platforms or data-quality activities
- Experience reviewing corporate or ownership documentation
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 1400 EUR and 2400 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
