Compliance Data Analyst

About the Team

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our global Compliance Digital & Analytics team, based in Zürich, and Bratislava! The team is responsible for improving the usage of technology and data for the benefit of Compliance across Swiss Re Group and driving Compliance insights for management and key Compliance stakeholders. Our services include business analysis, development and management of Compliance-specific tools and data analytical solutions. The development of digital & analytics capabilities is a key strategic direction for Compliance.

 

About the role

 

As a Data Analyst, you will develop, deliver, and support sophisticated data analytics solutions for Compliance. The role provides an opportunity to leverage your analytics expertise to provide business insights and develop assurance solutions that support Swiss Re's Compliance strategy. You will support the execution of our tech strategy by developing, maintaining, and coordinating Compliance Analytics solutions for use within the division and across Swiss Re.

 

Your key tasks will involve understanding the problem, identifying a solution with the available data through discussions with Compliance's domain specialists. You will assess the feasibility of a positive outcome before recommending an analytics approach. You will then collect and prepare the data, followed by modeling, evaluation, and presentation of results. The sophisticated analytics use cases will relate to the control environment and help to assess if risks are effectively managed and related controls are operating effectively.

 

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated data analytics solutions using our advanced data analytics platforms & framework.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Assurance team to define Continuous Monitoring for specific Compliance risks and help formulate a data-driven approach including data analysis or advanced visualizations that help meet the monitoring objective.
  • Work with Compliance Stakeholders to generate insights for specific Compliance Risks, such as Money Laundering and Bribery and Corruption, and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and other data analytics teams to ensure alignment and cross-knowledge sharing.

 

About You

 

  • Intermediate proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python and/or SQL.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in data transformation, preparation, data modeling, and visualization practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams with both technical and non-technical individuals in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives.
  • A high-level understanding of Compliance or related fields (risk management, audit) is nice to have.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and results in a clear and detailed manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • A curious nature, desire to learn! Appetite to deep dive into complex topics and provide novel solutions

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,300 and EUR 3,800 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. 
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
