Credit Controller

Are you someone who can spot the right information in a document, process it with precision, and bring people together to get things done? Then buckle up - this one's for you!

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and analytically minded professional to join our Credit Control team! This is a role where attention to detail meets international collaboration — you'll be managing a real portfolio of partners, diving into financial data, and playing a key part in keeping our insurance operations running smoothly across the EMEA region.

You'll grow your technical and interpersonal skills, connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds across the globe, and gain meaningful insight into how a leading global reinsurance company operates from the inside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnerships with external clients through regular, professional communication and proactive relationship management
  • Monitor account balances across your assigned portfolio, ensuring timely collection and accurate processing of premium payments
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly statements and reports for your portfolio, delivering clear and reliable financial insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues from various Swiss Re departments around the world to resolve queries and drive outcomes
  • Analyse and report on data using tools such as MS Excel and Power BI to support decision-making and identify trends
  • Handle daily business correspondence, including the investigation, analysis, and interpretation of processed accounting information

About the Team

You'll be joining a dynamic department of 50 Credit Control professionals, organised into four specialised teams. Together, we are responsible for managing all financial transactions within the insurance portfolio, with a primary focus on premium collection for direct insurance contracts covering large risks. Our work spans the entire EMEA region, meaning we process, send, and analyse payments from brokers and clients across a wide range of markets and time zones. We're a team that values curiosity, precision, and a collaborative spirit — and we're excited to welcome someone who shares those values.

About You

You are detail-oriented, curious about numbers, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, international environment. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you bring a proactive mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for getting things right. You're not afraid to ask questions, take ownership of your portfolio, and continuously develop your skills.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • English language proficiency – strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for managing international client relationships and correspondence
  • Digital literacy and data skills – proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or a strong motivation and aptitude to learn it quickly), with the ability to work with financial data accurately and efficiently
  • Analytical and numerical aptitude – a sharp eye for detail, comfort working with numbers, and the ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial and accounting information
  • Strong organisational skills – ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage competing deadlines in a constantly evolving environment

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Additional European language skills – French, German, Spanish, or Italian would be a great asset given our EMEA-wide scope
  • Previous working experience in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools
