Crisis & Resilience Specialist (Hybrid set up)

About the Role

 

In this position, you will support the day-to-day operations, governance, exercising, tooling and continuous improvement of our crisis management capability as well as strengthening overall operational resilience. The role also offers exposure to real-world incident response.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate training, onboarding, and awareness activities for crisis, emergency and incident response teams
  • Support the development and maintenance of incident management plans
  • Facilitate the planning and delivery of crisis exercises, including scheduling, stakeholder management, administration, logistics and troubleshooting
  • Support real-world incident and crisis response activities through invocation, coordination, log keeping, administration, situational awareness and reporting
  • Administer and support crisis management tools and platforms, including user onboarding, access management, testing, reporting, and data maintenance
  • Maintain crisis management documentation, crisis contact information, and governance records
  • Support Business Units and Group Functions in maintaining Operational Resilience plans  
  • Assist in resilience testing and exercises, including tracking follow-up actions  
  • Support programme and project governance, reporting, OKR tracking and continuous improvement activities across strategic programmes
  • Help prepare management information reports, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders and leadership  
  • Contribute to regulatory, audit, and governance activities by maintaining evidence, documentation, and reporting, as required
  • Demonstrate willingness to participate in on-call and out-of-hours incident and crisis response activities when required
  • Support the team with coordination, planning and delivery activities across crisis management and resilience programmes

 

 

 

 

About the Team

 

The Group Crisis Management Function (GCMF) is part of Operational Resilience and leads on ensuring the organisation remains effective and can meet its commitments during disruptions or crises. We are a global team, with practitioners based in Zurich, Hyderabad, Bangalore, New York, Madrid, Bratislava and London.

 

 

About You

You are organised, proactive and adaptable, professional with experience in crisis management, operational resilience and incident response. You enjoy working across a variety of activities, from governance and exercises to technology platforms and real-world incidents. You are collaborative and comfortable working with different stakeholders and are motivated to help teams stay prepared for the unexpected disruptions. You are a strong team player, and open to new professional experiences and opportunities.

 

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in crisis and incident management, operational resilience, business continuity, project management or related discipline
  • Experience supporting the design, facilitation, and evaluation of crisis management and resilience simulations and tabletop exercises
  • Hands-on experience responding to complex real-world incidents or crises
  • Experience coordinating programmes, projects, governance activities, or cross-functional initiatives with strong organisational and planning skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and high-quality deliverables. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, and management information to support decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines  
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Fluent English language skills

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within (re-)insurance, financial services, or management consulting
  • Professional certification and experience in Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Project Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of systems and platforms (e.g. Webex, AlertMedia, Riskonnect)
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Understanding of governance, audit, risk, or regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Agile project management and tracking (e.g. Viva Goals/WorkBoard)

 

 
 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,000 and EUR 3,400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.

 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
