DLP Operations Specialist (Hybrid Setup)
Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the DLP (Data Leakage Prevention) Operations Specialist, you'll own the technical solutions to protect Swiss Re's sensitive data, monitor alerts related to data leakage, conduct regular analyses and monitor patterns to identify insider threats. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cyber security engineering and operations, governance, risk & compliance, operational resilience and corporate security. We define and implement the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Cyber Security Operations unit is responsible for ensuring a timely response to cyber security threats and their overall management – ensuring a structured and timely resolution of anomalies, attacks, and incidents affecting our global business is in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Swiss Re's Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) technical solutions to protect sensitive data across the organisation
- Monitor and investigate alerts generated by the DLP solution
- Interact and collaborate with stakeholders from different teams, regions and seniority levels to identify root cause and severity
- Monitor activities/patterns to detect any anomalies from typical behaviour that may suggest insider threats
- Conduct detailed and independent analyses on alerts generated by DLP solutions
- Record findings on the DLP tool and ensure timely completion of each alert assigned to you
- Continuously enhance processes to increase efficiency, reduce effort, and ensure robustness
Qualifications

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in IT, with more than 2 years specifically in cybersecurity
- Proven experience with DLP solutions
- Strong understanding of different data classifications such as "confidential, internal, sensitive and personal data"
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of emotional intelligence and active listening skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and autonomy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice-to-have
- Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., Azure Security, CISM, CEH) is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Purview
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,200] and [EUR 3,700] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
