Data & Analytical Engineer - Graduate (Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

About the Role

 

Within the Corporate Solutions Data Insights, we are searching for a Data & Analytics Engineer to partner with business functions and collaborate with squad members. They will use technical know-how and curiosity about problem solving to enable data-driven decision making. Specifically, the role will be responsible for:

  • Building data pipelines and assets that facilitate business intelligence and insights

  • improve manual processes when it comes to delivering insights

  • Deep dives into line of business portfolios on an ad-hoc basis using innovative analytical and machine learning frameworks

  • Support our goal to upskill business users data analysis capabilities through mentoring and coaching

 

Based on experience and interest, this role has significant evolution potential to drive the future of data and analytics capabilities and achieve our ambition to be embed Data and analytics at our core.

 

About the Team

 

We are an international team of data and analytics engineers, who are passionate about problem solving and making an impact. We have a strong focus on central data products, to provide metrics, reports or other analytics solutions that allow different functions to steer their business based on data-derived insights.

 

To achieve these goals, we seek to use innovative data sources and analytical models to improve traditional reporting capabilities by advanced visualizations and predictive insights.

 

About You

 

  • University degree in a relevant quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or other / equivalent work experience

  • Passionate about using data and technology to steer the business insights and maximize efficiency of processes

  • Strong work ethic and self-starter who can deliver results quickly

  • Good communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts

  • Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred

  • Knowledge of Spark SQL and PySpark will be a plus

 

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 1500 EUR. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering obtained degree, as well as skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
