Data Engineer

About the role

 

Our team is building the next generation Data Quality tool for Swiss Re. You will be part of a team responsible discussing and designing new product and implementing data pipelines in distributed environment using cutting edge technologies.

Joining us, you will learn the technologies that are used in modern data solutions with a focus on cloud technologies and distributed systems, but also gain experience in the application of big data techniques to solve complex problems on real data, in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.

 

A regular day with us:

  • Design data pipelines and analytical solutions

  • Develop innovative solution to facilitate business users day to day activities

  • Ensure the reliability, quality, and optimal performance of our data quality products

 

About You

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of analytics, we will be happy to meet you. If you possess traits and experience that match most of the below, we’d love to hear from you:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a technical role

  • Good SQL knowledge and at least one programming language (Python preferred)

  • Good understanding of database schema development

 

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ML

  • Experience with Big Data (i.e., Spark)

  • Data Governance and Data Quality experience

 

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2200 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
