About the team
ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulations and standards are rapidly emerging across the globe and imposing new and complex reporting requirements which impact Swiss Re. Our team together with you are responsible for shaping and building the Sustainability Reporting platform encompassing all technology and data capabilities which allow for efficient end-to-end data flows and reporting, on a global as well as on local legal entity level to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
About the role
In your role you will contribute to Swiss Re's healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible to:
- Build and manage robust and scalable data pipelines that facilitate efficient data flow, integrity, and accessibility to support sustainability reporting requirements at both Group and local legal entity levels
- Implement automated processes for data collection, integration, and cleansing to ensure accurate and timely data availability for reporting and analysis
- Support developing and maintaining user-facing applications
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of data architecture and designs, ensuring they align with the enterprise architecture and meet business needs
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and analysts, to support diverse data requirements
About you
- Strong engineering skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python / PySpark preferred, TypeScript is a plus)
- Proficient in designing and implementing data pipelines and analytical / reporting solutions on enterprise data platforms and distributed computing.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, IT operations, or governance processes is an advantage
- Focused on testing and quality assurance practices
- A results-driven team player with a collaborative, "can-do”, energetic self-starter personality
- Experience with Palantir Foundry and PySpark is an advantage.
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,300] and [EUR 3,800] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
