Data Quality Specialist

About the Role


As a Data Quality Specialist, you will support the implementation and operation of Swiss Re’s data governance and data quality frameworks. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will actively promote the data quality and issue management practices across the organization, own relationships with key stakeholders, resolve data issues, support the evolution of the data quality tooling and track key indicators and metrics. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise-wide data governance practices and is well suited for an early-career professional looking to grow in the data management and data quality domain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support framework implementation - Assist in maintaining the central data quality assurance and data issue management frameworks and solutions to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Perform quality checks - Execute data quality control processes and help monitor data quality across systems
  • Track KPIs - Collect and analyze data for our Data Quality KPI framework to help measure and improve data quality standards
  • Influence tooling evolution – Support the evolution of the data quality and governance tools Collaborate across teams - Work with Tech and Business stakeholders to implement data quality standards and resolve data issues
  • Promote best practices - Help foster a culture of data quality through documentation, training materials, and day-to-day support


About the Team


Our department, part of Group Data Services, is committed to strengthening data, AI, and records governance practices across Swiss Re. We are the global focus point of data governance, operating from Zurich, Bratislava, and Bangalore, focusing on meeting regulatory requirements and enhancing data issue management and quality control.


About You


You have a foundational understanding of IT systems and data concepts, and you are comfortable bridging technical topics with business needs. You are detail-oriented and analytical, with an interest in identifying and solving data-related problems. You enjoy working collaboratively with others and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are motivated to learn and develop your expertise in data governance, data quality, and data issue management.


We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
  • Previous experience working with data management, data quality, or related areas
  • Understanding of data quality concepts and methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Understanding of financial or insurance industry data
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,400 and EUR 4,100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.​
