Finance Governance Professional
As a Finance Governance Professional, you will play a key role in supporting our internal customers to better understand risks and strengthen controls over the end-to-end financial reporting value chain. This role will give you an excellent overview of and insight into the workings of the Finance and Reserving Functions sa well as our business in general. You will also interact frequently with Internal Risk Management and internal or external auditors to understand and mitigate the company's financial reporting risks and their implications on day-to-day operations.
About the Role
Besides the required financial acumen and understanding of risk, communication plays a fundamental role for successfully delivering our day-to-day work. You will collaborate across different seniority levels with various internal customers, mostly within Finance and Reserving Actuaries but also with further critical areas such as Claims, Operations or Underwriting. This provides you with a great platform to have an impact and strengthen your profile. Main responsibilities:
- You are going to maintain control and process framework documentation for the financial reporting process in Swiss Re systems and work on improvements of the internal control and process framework
- You will oversee and monitor Finance Corporate Solutions' open issues, support Operational Incident reporting, and produce regular reports
- You will support the Finance Governance team on regular deliverables such as the BU CFO's quarterly sign-off of the financial results or project activities such as the introduction of IFRS as the Group's new accounting standard.
- You will support compliance activities either as the coordinator or advisor (e.g., Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, End User Application listing, Records Retention)
