About the Role

 

As an Accountant in the Payroll, Leases, Fixed Assets and Intangibles team, you will support accurate and timely accounting for Swiss Re entities within a global GLAS Operations environment.

 

You will contribute to day‑to‑day accounting activities and monthly close tasks, working within clearly defined processes and with the support of experienced colleagues.

 

The role involves processing and reviewing postings, preparing reconciliations, performing basic analyses, and supporting audit and control activities in line with IFRS and internal policies.

 

You will work with SAP and related tools and gradually deepen your knowledge across payroll, leasing, fixed assets and intangible asset accounting.You will collaborate closely with team members, team leads and other Finance stakeholders in an international environment, contributing to high‑quality, well‑controlled accounting processes and ongoing process improvements.

 

About You

 

You have a foundational background in accounting or finance and are motivated to further develop your skills across payroll, leases, fixed assets and intangible accounting.

 

You are comfortable following defined processes, working with accounting systems such as SAP, and delivering tasks accurately and on time, particularly in a monthly close environment. 

 

You demonstrate good attention to detail, a structured approach to work, and a willingness to learn and take feedback.

 

You are able to perform reconciliations and basic analyses, understand control and quality requirements, and escalate issues when needed.

 

You communicate clearly and collaborate well within a team, including with colleagues and stakeholders across different locations.

 

You are open to change, keen to build technical expertise, and interested in contributing to stable, well‑controlled accounting processes in an international Finance environment. 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,300 and EUR 2,200 per month (for a full-time role).  
The specific salary offered considers: 

•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 

•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. 
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits.
