Key Responsibilities

 

  • Learn Technical Accounting: Develop skills in booking, reconciling, and settling technical accounts with the support of experienced team members
  • Enhance Communication Skills: Help prepare and deliver monthly statements to our partners
  • Understand Financial Processes: Assist with payment processing for International Programs
  • Develop Problem-Solving Abilities: Collaborate with team members to identify and address reconciliation discrepancies
  • Build System Knowledge: Learn our administration systems while helping ensure proper account reconciliation
  • Contribute Fresh Ideas: Bring your new perspective to help improve existing processes

 

 

About the Team

 

The International Financial Management team is a supportive, diverse group that welcomes fresh talent! We handle transactions related to policies in our International Program, ensuring efficient risk transfers and cash flows between local offices and Reinsurance partners. You'll join a team that values mentorship and believes in helping each member grow professionally while contributing to our expanding global operations.

 

 

About You

 

 

You're an enthusiastic individual with a foundation in finance, accounting, or economics who's eager to learn and grow. You have a natural attention to detail, enjoy working with numbers, and are excited about applying your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. You value teamwork and are ready to develop your professional skills in a supportive international environment.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

 

  • University degree in accounting, economics, or related field
  • Basic understanding of financial principles demonstrated through coursework or internships
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work with data and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with a willingness to learn how to explain financial concepts clearly
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new processes and systems

 

These are additional nice to haves:

 

  • Previous working experience in finance, accounting, or related areas
  • Familiarity with financial statements or basic accounting principles
  • Experience working in diverse teams or international environments
  • Interest in insurance or reinsurance industries

 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,400 and EUR 2,300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​
