About the Team
Our Asset Management team creates an efficient operating environment which supports all financial market activities conducted by Swiss Re. Our company invests in a multitude of innovative products and asset classes, including catastrophe bonds, infrastructure loans, private equity funds, derivatives and many more.


Joining Client Readiness Solutions team gives you a rare possibility to gain the most insight across all AM Business Services teams into many interesting aspects of a trade life-cycle and you will learn different characteristics of a variety of products that exist in the financial markets.
In addition to day to day requirements, position places a significant emphasis on ad-hoc projects to support innovations and systems enhancements within AM BS.  The specialist also acts as a main point of contact for complex matters and provides expertise in projects and strategic initiatives. 


The position has a potential to develop into a leadership role.


About the Role

Key accountabilities

  • Setup and maintenance of a high variety of financial security types. Examples like fixed income securities, asset-backed securities, equities and different derivatives
  • Maintain reference data such as asset portfolios, accounts, market participants and others at various AM systems, monitor and maintain Gold Copy standards 
  • End-to-end data integrity checks in investment trade life-cycle to ensure highest data quality
  • Take ownership in ad-hoc requests, projects and additional tasks
  • Ability to recognize and communicate possible improvements in policies and procedures, consistently search for simplifications
  • Resolution of complex queries from stakeholders
  • Excellent communication with stakeholders (including external vendors)
  • Solid awareness and prevention of operational risk

MAJOR RELATIONSHIPS

  • Accountable to Head of Client Readiness Solutions or Client Readiness Solutions TL
  • Works within Asset Management 
  • Liaises with various Swiss Re functions, mainly Treasury, ECM, ILS, Legal, Compliance, Technical Accounting, representatives of Swiss Re legal entities, externally with Custodians, Brokers/Dealers, other vendors and other internal and external stakeholders

 

OTHER

  • Some travel to Swiss Re locations may be required
  • Some overtimes may be required

 

About You

Key skills, knowledge, qualifications & experience

  • University degree in economics and/or business administration, preferably with a finance focus
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within Finance or Banking is a must
  • Strong knowledge of investment products 
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of French is a plus
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Reliable and self-reliant task manager
  • Strong team player 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Diligent and accurate working style
  • Willingness to learn, openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation

 

Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
